Well it’s Master’s weekend, which means golf will be on our tv pretty much 24 hours a day for the next three days. As with most sports, I can watch a little but get bored pretty quickly. Luckily, we get to go celebrate this annual extravaganza with friends on Saturday, so I will have some girlfriends and yummy grilled food to keep me company. I hope you have a fun weekend planned. Here are some of my favorite finds and thoughts from this week. Enjoy!

  • Favorite Health Read: This time of the year bathing suits start magically appearing in every store which means, diet fads start running rampant. This article shows the bad nutrition advice that dietitians aren’t on board with.
  • Favorite Swimwear. Speaking of swimsuits…I learned last summer that high neck tops are actually super flattering. I’m planning to invest in a few more of this style before our beach trip. I love this one and this one.
  • Favorite Nostalgic Moment. Spring is such an awesome time of the year (minus the allergies and tornadoes). I love the birds and animals that are reemerging (except for the wasps and mosquitoes). I saw five squirrels chasing one another on some branches behind our house and immediately I thought of this scene.
  • Favorite Kitchen Essential. My sweet hubby loves cooking. If you’re not married, I highly recommend finding a spouse that does. Anyway, in an unusual moment of clumsiness he broke the lid to my VitaClay Rice Cooker. I use this handy gadget constantly and it is literally the only way I can make rice that’s not crunchy or mush. I’m waiting “patiently” for the replacement lid to arrive.
  • Favorite Smoothie. Once the weather starts warming up, smoothies are a staple at my house. One of my favorite recipes that I’ve been craving lately comes from my Drink This Not That book. It’s called The Caffeinated Banana and is a combo of coffee, peanut butter, and banana and is beyond yummy! Here is a similar recipe.
