It’s the first day of the last week in January and I think many of us aren’t too sad to see the month go. I’m not sure what it is about January that just makes it seem to draw on forever. Possibly the end of the holiday season, the weather, or the daily battle of the new year’s resolution all factor in. Whatever the reason, I’m super excited for February and am using that as my happy motivation for the day. Feel free to join me if you have a case of the January Mondays. Sometimes to get through a Monday, we just need a little sugar in our lives (both the food and the smooches). In this case, I’m referring to this recipe for blondies. I tried it out a couple of weeks ago as my weekly treat and it was a hit! Yes, it’s an indulgence, but the great thing is by making it yourself you absolutely know what the ingredients are. Serve warm over vanilla ice cream and you can always freeze the leftovers for another day.

Love this list of style bloggers who promote body positivity. January is for sure a month of being hard on ourselves emotionally and physically. While our goals to be the best we can be are wonderful, we must still love ourselves in the present tense.
