This year will be my first official Mother’s Day, so when my husband asked the loaded question: “what do you want for Mother’s Day?”, I wasn’t quite sure how to respond. My initial thought was a quiet morning to myself and that monogrammed beach tote that I’ve had my eye on. Then mommy guilt kicks in and I feel as though the proper reply is “a full day with my amazing baby girl”. Of course If I went with that answer, every day would actually be Mother’s Day. Plus, that tote will be used to carry baby’s beach necessities around, so it really is a selfless gift.

The past eleven months have been a crash course intro of a neverending learning process called “how to be a good mom”. One thing I have learned thus far is how important taking care of myself is. I know that I function better as a mother when I allow some me time and self love. Mommy guilt is joked about, but it is a real thing. Sometimes it’s hard to be selfish, but remember you work hard and deserve to treat your body, soul, and mind well. Here are some gift ideas for my wellness-minded mamas out there:

  1. Hummingbird Pajama Shorts. I’m currently in desperate need of a PJ refresh. I love the cute pattern on these shorts!
  2. Kate Spade Slippers. I’m not a barefoot kind of gal. If I’m at home, you can guarantee my toots are in some comfy slippers.
  3. Essential Oil Diffuser. I finally invested in the Petal Diffuser from doTERRA and I’m so glad that I did! The cheap ones that I had been buying just weren’t holding up and I can tell the fragrance comes through better with this one.
  4. Mantraband. Mantras are a great way to offer yourself reflection and affirmation throughout the day. These cuff bracelets are very cute and can serve as a gentle reminder to send these good thoughts out.
  5. Fitbit Versa Smartwatch. Basically the new must-have accessory for any workout fiend, or those of us who sometimes need a little extra motivation.
  6. Lifefactory Glass Water Bottle. Lifefactory is a great brand. I love their water bottles because I avoid any plastic toxins and I can put drops of citrus oil (love grapefruit or lemon) in with my water. The rubber sleeve helps me hang onto it and provides a buffer when I didn’t hang on so well.
  7. The Wisdom of Sundays. I have this on request at the library and hope to take it to the beach in June. I’ve heard such great things and can’t wait to check it out (literally).
  8. doTERRA Yoga Collection. Getting back into yoga is something that I seriously want to do. When this happens, I will be getting this cute kit that includes three oil blends perfect to inspire my inner yogi: Anchor, Align, and Arise.
  9. Lacfin Revive Facial Sheet Mask. Finding skin products that aren’t loaded with chemicals can be a challenge. This one is rated well on EWG.org’s skin deep so I’m excited to try it out.
  10. Silk Sleep Mask. There’s really nothing better for a mom than a well-deserved night of sleep. Let this mask operate as a do not disturb sign.
  11. Tea Sampler. I tend to get stuck in a rut as a tea drinker. A sampling kit is the perfect way to experience more flavors without running the risk of wasting money on a whole box or tin that I may or may not like.

What are you asking for or giving that special lady in your life??
