Mother’s Day is just over a week away. My preferred day usually starts out with coffee and quiet time in bed, followed by breakfast with Tim and the girls, and then a homemade crab leg dinner with my mom and the family. While this mash-up of quality and alone time makes for an ideal day, a surprise gift here and there is always welcome! Here are my finds for this year.
- Conversations with Grandma Journal. Both of my grandmothers passed away before I ever got to have those grown-up chats with them. There have been so many times since becoming a mother that I wish I could hear the wisdom of my maternal grandmother who raised five children while at times her husband was away for extended periods (career Army). I can only attempt to harness the patience she must have exhibited. I saw this journal and absolutely swooned.
- Karma Coffee Mug. I am raising two daughters. I was a whiney kid with separation anxiety until I was about 12. I also was a terrible sleeper waaaaay longer than is normal. Here we go.
- Initial Necklace. Whether you get your kiddo’s first initial, or your own, I love this simple every day necklace!
- Denim Jacket. A closet staple that pairs so well with a jumpsuit or tee dress.
- Leopard Running Shoes. Because workouts are so much more fun with cute outfits.
- doTERRA’s Verage Anti-Aging Skin Care System. I have been using this kit religiously for over a year now and I LOVE IT! The ingredients are all clean and contain 100% pure essential oils. It’s only four steps, but I do throw the Eye Roller in each morning and Immortelle each night. Everything smells so wonderfully fresh and is very light on the skin. Give it a try for the ultimate “you earned it” guilt-free mom indulgence.
- Kate Spade Watch. A great watch is timeless (insert cheesy pun) and this one caught my eye with the gorgeous leather band.
- Tory Burch Straw Tote. Since you know you will be carrying at least 73 different kid items to the beach or pool, you might as well have an awesome bag to haul.
- Mommy and Me Frame. I don’t love things that say things. Does that make sense? Like I don’t plaster quotes all over my walls, sheets, driveway, etc. But this sweet frame was too cute to resist.
- Leopard PJs. Let’s be honest, most of our sleepwear at this phase of life likely consists of old maternity pieces thrown together with whatever happens to be clean and comfy. I’m on a mission to bring some dignity back to my bedroom via cute (matching) pieces.
- doTERRA Balance and Adaptiv. These are hands-down my two favorite blends for emotional support. Balance is a grounding blend and helps me through those rocky mommy days when my mood threatens to go haywire. Adaptiv comes into play when those feelings of anxiousness creep in. It’s also a great one to diffuse in the evenings when you’re wanting to connect with the hubs. Both need to be added to your essential oil collection ASAP!
I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day filled with all the things that bring you joy and relaxation. You deserve it!!
